This is a very quick easy Bolognese-style tomato sauce you can prepare in summer, when fresh tomatoes are in season.
The characteristic of this recipe is that you put all ingredients in a tight saucepan, and then cook everything together on a slow fire. All the fresh ingredients will slow-cook in their own liquids and all flavors will bind together delightfully.
You can use this sauce for a nice pasta plate or just with some nice bread too!

– chop the onion finely and put it into a saucepan (20cm diameter);
– add the salt and the extra virgin oil, mix well;
– top the onion with the minced meat;
– wash and rinse well the tomatoes, then chop each of them into 2;
– put the chopped tomatoes onto the meat;
– make sure the saucepan is packed with the ingredients (as shown in the picture);
– top with basil and oregano;
– cover the saucepan with its lid and put it on to a stove on medium heat;
– as soon as the oil starts frying, low the heat to the minimum and cook for about 40 minutes;
– mix the sauce with a spoon every 10 minutes;
– remove the lid and cook on a medium fire for about 5 minutes or till the sauce starts thickening;
