Baked Quinoa, Peas & Garlic Balls

These quinoa-balls are packed with vegetable proteins and are very easy to make. Best served dipped in a nice tzatziki sauce.

  • 250 gquinoa
  • 150 gpeas
  • 2 clovesgarlic
  • 1egg
  • 1 spoonextra virgin olive oil
  • 1 bouquetfresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoonground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoonground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoonground ginger
  • q.s.table salt
  • q.s.breadcrumbs


  1. – bring to boil abundant salted water in a pan, and cook the quinoa in it, drain it and transfer it into a bowl;

    – bring to boil abundant salted water in a pan and cook the peas in it, drain them and add them to the cooked quinoa;

    – add the oil, the garlic cloves and use a blender to ground everything together;

    – add the egg and mix everything together;

    – add the spices, the chopped parsley and mix well;

    shape the small balls with your hands and roll them in breadcrumbs;

    – bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes or till golden;
